Zippy Green Contact Cement is a water based and non-toxic.It is designed to be used for cosmetic foam to balsa sheeting like turtle decks and hatches.Most contact glues are instant bond as soon as the parts are joined so you only get one opportunity to get it right.With Zippy Green you apply to both the foam and the sheeting and wet the up-side of the sheeting with water or window cleaner(ammonia),this expands the sheeting.Then join the parts,take your time because the bond is instant only if you wait for it to dry completely,I use a rolling motion back and forth to insure the sheeting is tight to the foam.Then put sheeted part back in the shuck and let set overnite.The next morning invert the part in the shuck and let finish drying.Most of the weight (water) wicks out of the woodgrain and the sheeting shrinks down onto the foam making a light weight and drum tight part.
